GO! GIRL, GO!

Today's layout is based on the sketch of My Creative Sketches. Here is the sketch;

The pictures were taken at the airport in Guam. We were kept waiting for sooooo long, and my daughter was beginning to get bored. But when I pointed the camera, she made this smile:)
It was really fun making this layout! I love travelling, and I love travel-themed paper (this one is from Crate paper). I cut out the papers in squares and layered them, and fussy cut some cute shapes and popped them up. I also used some gauze under the photos; I realized I had a whole roll of gauze which I bought from Costco and never used it, so I thought it might add a bit of interest if I used it as a layer. I mostly like the part that I used black thread for the plane flying♡ The journal is hidden in the tags behind the squares. Here are some close-ups;

The deadline for this challenge is December 14th. You might win a prize if link up!!

CUTIE

I made a layout for the Hip Kit Club weekly challenge. I love the kits here, they are so pretty:)This is the sketch challenge.

I used my daughter's pictures (as usual♡). I love this border Tshirt she's wearing, isn't the back frill and ribbon soooo cute?? I think I got it from a Korean store. It was my daughter's favorite too, and she used to wear it a lot. I used a collection from the hip kit club, but I forgot which month...I spread some white gesso first, and then used colored mists and pan pastel for the background. I layered the photos with paper and some dotted tulles although it is difficult to tell in this picture. I popped up the right photo, and some ot the diecuts. For the borders, I used the same colors as the Tshirt. I love how this turned out, and it's always fun to try a new challenge! Here are some close-ups;

BE MINE (DTwork)

This is my layout for November 15th Scrap Our Stash Sketch + (3) Challenge!
Here is the awesome Sketch and here is what I used ; LIST1 - Glitter, LIST2 - Harvest Gold and Hero Arts, LIST3 - Indigo and Index card.

It's nice to have a happy active girl, but sometimes you worry that she's too boyish. Yep, that's my daughter:) I love this picture of my daughter posing in front of the camera and acting cute! Who knows what's hiding beneath this cute face!! LOL!!

I spread some gold texture paste and in the background, and made gold circles with glitter and glue. I wasn't so sure if gold will match this paper, but actually it turned out so good!! Here are some close-ups:

More gold for the title, hearts and arrows. This gold is not too shiny, and that's exactly what I wanted:) I fussy cut butterflies, flowers and a camera and popped some up.

I cut out the center of the doily, so the paper underneath will show. Layering is my favorite as always:)

Hero Arts stamp Hugs and Kisses♡ So pretty!!

The Challenge is open until Nov.29th. I'm so excited to see everyone's layouts!!

Thank you so much for visiting:)

EMBRACE (DTwork)

Hello!! Today I'm happy to show you my November 15th layout for Stuck?! Sketches.
Here is the lovely sketch:)

I decided to make an autumn page with this sketch, so I used a picture of my daughter with some red and yellow leaves:) She was choosing the best leaf to put in her hair...and she found this big red one!! I'm so happy that we have four seasons; and I hope she will embrace each of them.

First of all, I spread gesso on the background and then smudged coral and blue paint. Then I used gold texture paste to make small patterns with a stencil. Blue isn't actually an autumn color, but it goes well with the soft coral. I like how it turned out. Here are some close-ups;

Several sizes of autumn color leaves and flowers. And I love these blue alphas!

The generous sponsors for the challenge are the following;

imagine (DTwork)

Today's layout is my DT work for November's Scrap Our Stash Book Inspired Stash Challenge!!
Isn't this so fun?? I was so excited in making this page:)

I was inspired by the colors and of course the theme, Space!! I used the dark blue color but wanted it to be shiny, so I used a lot of glitter, rhinestones and sequins to make it sparkle. I used 3 pictures of my daughter when she was small.She was mimicking Kung fu on TV, and both the colors of her clothes and the atmosphere was perfect for this layout.  I used a lot of stars which is also required in this challenge. Here are some close-ups;

Gesso and glitter!! I made it look like a whirlpool. So fun!!

Sparkle, sparkle...

Make sure to link up by Nov.29th!! I'm so looking forward to seeing everyone's fun pages!!

my girl (DTwork)

Tada!! Today's layout is for the November 1st challenge of Stuck?! Sketches:)
Here is the wonderful sketch!!

I decided to use this colorful paper but I wanted a bit of green (because green is my fave!), so I pulled out my oil pastels and put some green shades in the background. I wasn't sure if this will work...I usually use colors that are used in the picture or paper. This time green was in neither. Anyways, I gave it a try. I looked for green strips of paper, diecuts, washi tapes and alphas for the title. I combined these with other colors that are in the paper. I like how it turned out:)

Here are the genorous sponsors!!

And The Scraproom is offering a $20.00 gift certificate to their store.
