Natsuko's little craft room: enjoy life (Colorful Creations DT Work)

The new Challenge from Colorful Creations is this Something Old, Something New.

Rule: Dig through your stash and mix those old supplies with your new supplies.

Colorful Creations の新しいチャレンジは、古いものと新しいものを混ぜてレイアウトを作ること。

I used some old foam stamps that I bought many years ago and heat embossed them with old embossing powder. The papers and ephemeras are new, but the colors matched perfect with the embossing powder. I fussy cut the embossed words and used it as the title. I put foam underneath to add dimention. I also fussy cut some doily shapes and dotted some 'beads in a bottle' ink around it. This is also something I had for years. Before I layered all the doilies and the picture, I sprayed blue and pink mist and with a mask and yellow acrylic paint, I created dots on the background. I did some more fussy cutting; the butterflies and words. I popped up the picture with foam and lifted the wings of the butterflies by putting glue on just the middle of them. I love the colors of this layout, and my daughter's dress is also the same color. I'm also happy to be able to find my old stuff that I forgot they even existed! Here are some close-ups;

私は、何年も前に買ったフォームスタンプを使って、古いパウダーでエンボス加工をしました。ペーパーやダイカットは新しいものですが、色がパウダーの色とピッタリでした。エンボス加工した文字を切り出し、タイトルとして使うことにしました。立体感を出すため、ポップアップをしています。ドイリーもペーパーから切り抜き、周りに点々とインクを乗せて乾かしました。このインクも、何年もしまいこんでいたものです。ドイリーと写真を重ねて貼る前に、背景にブルーやピンクのインクをミストし、マスクを使ってイエローのアクリル絵の具で水玉模様をつけました。蝶や英字も、ペーパーから切り抜きました。写真の下にもフォームを貼ってポップアップし、蝶の真ん中にだけにのりをつけて羽を浮かせました。明るい色と、娘の服の色がマッチしていていい感じに仕上がりました。すっかり存在を忘れてしまっていたアイテムも再び使うことが出来て、大満足！
