Today I made a layout using a sketch from My Creative Sketches, and a picture from Pixels and Paper.

 

今日は、My Creative Sketches と、Pixels and Paper のチャレンジを元にして作ってみました♪



 

I made a layout of my daughter and one of her besties. The two are always giggling and talking and acting crazy...they seem like they can laugh at almost anything!! Watching them makes me smile:)

 

娘と、仲良しのお友達の写真で作りました。二人はいつ見てもゲラゲラ笑ったり喋ったり、意味不明なことをしたり…なんでもかんでもおかしなお年頃？？見てるとこっちまで笑ってしまいます。

 

I spread teal ink on the background, layered the borders and photo, and embellished with flowers, fussy cut diecuts, stickers and ribbons. I was inspired by the flowers and the colors of the picture of Pixels and Paper. Here are some details;

 

背景にインクで着色し、ボーダーと写真を重ねていきました。お花や切り抜いたダイカット、ステッカー、リボンなどで飾りました。

today (DT Work)

This month's Tic Tac Toe Stash Challenge from Scrap Our Stash is awesome as always!!

Rule : You must use all three items from any horizontal, vertical or diagonal row. I chose diagonal this time. CHARM, GOLD and CRATE PAPER.

今月の Scrap Our Stash のチャレンジはこちら！
ルールは、縦、横、斜めいずれかの列にある３つのアイテムを使ってレイアウトを作ること。私は今回は斜めで、チャーム、ゴールド、CRATE PAPERを選びました。

 



 

The picture is when we went blueberry picking. It was such a hot day that nobody else was there and we had the place all to ourselves! My daughter really enjoyed picking (and eating) and she looked so happy:) I love this expression of her. I wanted to create a soft, warming atmosphere so I chose this wooden printed paper for the background. I cut 1 inch from each side of the paper,  placed it on kraft and tucked salmon orange strips between them. I lifted the edges of the strips to add a bit of interest. I fussy cut various strips from patterned paper and layered them randomly to add dimention. I embellished around the picture with chipboard.  GOLD is in the title and some of the chipboards, and I placed a key CHARM on the lower right corner. Here are some details;

 

写真は、ブルーべりー摘みをした時のものです。すごく暑い日で、他に誰もいなくて貸切状態でした。娘は、摘むの（食べるの）が楽しかったみたいで、この表情。幸せそうなので、大好きな写真です♡ 優しくて暖かい雰囲気にしたかったので、背景には木目のペーパーを使いました。縦と横1インチずつカットしてクラフト紙に重ね、間にうすいオレンジ色の細いペーパーを挟んで端を少し浮かせています。次に、パターンペーパーを細くカットして、ランダムに重ね、立体感を出しました。ゴールドはタイトルと一部のチップボードに、チャームは、鍵をえらびました。

I love this month's first sketch from Stuck?! Sketches !! This is my take♡

今月も、Stuck?! Sketches　素敵なスケッチで楽しく作れました♪

My daughter is wearing a ninja costume in this theme park in Kyoto, and she's trying to go through all the rooms full of tricks. I wanted to make this layout as vibrant and fun as the pictures, so I sprayed colorful ink on the background. I made these circles with cardboard and thread. I love the bright colors and the dimention it creates! I put foam underneath the photos and placed them on the circles. I thought it had enough impact, so I just used a little bit ot embellishments and on the corners, I sewed red sequins for an accent. Here are some close-ups;

京都の太秦映画村に行った時の写真を使いました。忍者に扮した娘が、からくり屋敷に挑戦！写真のようにカラフルで楽しいレイアウトにしたかったので、まずは背景にミストをスプレー。円は、厚紙に太めの糸を巻いて作りました。色と厚みがお気に入り♪　写真の後ろにフォームを貼りつけて円の上に載せました。これだけでインパクトがあるので、他のエンベリは最小限に。後、アクセントに四隅に赤いスパンコールを縫いつけました。うーん、楽しい！！

My DT work for today is  the March Color Combo with a Twist Challenge from Colorful Creations !!

Rule: Create something with these color combos and the twist is to use ink somewhere on your creation. Isn't this challenge awesome?

 

今日のＤＴワークは、 Colorful Creations　のこのチャレンジ。

ルール：どちらかのカラーコンビネーションと、インクを使うこと！またまた楽しいチャレンジ♪

 

 

I chose the blue & green color combo since they are my favorite colors!! I chose this green paper with flowes for the background. I spread some gesso first and then used a stencil and modeling paste to create streaks. After it dried, I sprayed shades of blue ink.

私は大好きなブルー＆グリーン系のカラーを選びました。背景は、花柄のグリーンのペーパーに薄くジェッソを塗り、ステンシルとモデリングペーストを使って縦線をつけました。乾いた後にブルーのインクで濃淡をつけてスプレーしています。

 

 

 

I punched out some green and yellow green circles from paper and layered them randomly. I also used paper, chipboard, wood veneers, flairs, diecuts and a clip all in several shades of green. I love how it turned out!

 

ペーパーからグリーン系の円をパンチして重ねたり、チップボードやダイカットなどで写真の周りを飾りました。いい感じに仕上がりました♡

best friend FOREVER

 

 I made a layout based on the sketch from creative scrappers. Here is the sketch!

creative scrappers のスケッチを元に、レイアウトを作ってみました。こちらがスケッチ♪

 

This is my daughter with her best friend ♡ We were riding on a ferris wheel. My daughter's friend was afraid at first because the floor was transparent, but as she got used to it, she was smiling and enjoying the ride.

娘と、一番の仲良しのお友達と観覧車に乗っている写真を使いました。お友達は最初、床が透明なので怖がっていましたが、慣れていくうちに表情も和らいで楽しんでいました。

I placed strips of paper randomly, and machine stitched some of them. I lifted the edges to add dimention. I placed foam under the pictures so they will pop up, and embellished around them with wood veneers and fussy cut out hearts. I love how this turned out! Here are some close-ups;

ペーパーを色んな太さにカットして並べ、ミシンをかけてから端を少し曲げて立体感を出しました。写真の下にはポップアップシートを貼って浮かせています。周りの飾りには木のエンベリや切り出したハートなどを使いました。

Today I combined two challenges:)

A Challenge from More than words

 

今日は、二つのチャレンジを組み合わせてみました。

一つは、More than words 。

and a sketch from Show Us Your Stuff

 

もう一つは、Show Us Your Stuff のスケッチ

 



 

 I usually use my daughter's picture, but this time, I used a picture of my friends!! We had a BBQ and after eating and consuming a lot of alcohol...We were taking selfies like teenagers! LOL! Yes, we were drunk...but having lots of fun! We were in the same high school and although some of us hadn't met since graduation, the time gap seemed nothing. That's the good thing about having old friends...and when I saw this challenge, this picture seemed perfect for the word TOGETHER.

いつもは娘の写真を使っていますが、今回は私の友達！みんなでバーベキューをした時の写真です。たくさん食べて、たくさん飲んだ後、若者のように自撮りしまくってました(笑)　完全な酔っ払い…でも楽しかった！高校の友達で、卒業以来初めて会うもの同志もいましたが、そんなことは全く感じないくらいの盛り上がり？？学生時代の友達ってそんなものですよね♪　チャレンジを見つけた時、この写真がTOGETHERにピッタリだと思いました。

I wanted to make a chic layout, so I used soft colors. I dissolved purple and brown oil pastels and smudged them on the background. I cut out diecut paper and layered them under the picture.　

シックなイメージにしたかったので、控えめな色合いにしました。紫と茶色のオイルパステルを溶かし、背景に着色しました。ペーパーからダイカットを切り出し、写真のしたに重ねています。

 

I used 2 ampersands. They were originally white stickers, but I peeled off the upper layer of them and inked them with brown ink and put bronze glitter glue on top of it.

&は二つ使いました。もともとは白いステッカーだったのですが、白い部分をはがして茶色のインクで着色後、ブロンズのグリッターグルーをのせました。

I did the same with the title and the circles.

タイトルと丸いチップボードにも。

 

I made a tassel and hung it on the title.

 

タッセルを作ってタイトルにぶら下げました。

 



 

For dimention, I popped up the diecuts. I machine stitched around the page and spread glitter glue.

 

ダイカットはポップアップして立体感を出し、周りをミシンで縫ってグリッターグルーを広げています。

 



 

 Sequins add some sparkle to the layout!

スパンコールを加えて少しキラキラに。
