Here is my layout for the Scrap Our Stash February 15th Challenge!

Here's the rules: Create a layout inspired by this awesome sketch made by Brenda, and add a stash item from your stash that starts with each letter of the word-CUPID

I chose C-Clip, U-Ultra marine, P-Polka Dots, I- Ink, D-Diecut

 

Scrap Our Stash 2月15日のチャレンジです！

ルール：　スケッチ＋ＣＵＰＩＤの頭文字で始まるアイテムを使ってレイアウトを作ること。

私は、クリップ、ウルトラマリン（色）、水玉模様、インク、ダイカットを選びました。

 

 

This sketch was really new and fun! I especially like the triangles, so I cut them out and placed them like the sketch. I layered paper, diecuts and chipboard frames and popped up one of the pictures to add dimention. For the circle, I used twine. Ultra Marine color was used in the diecut words, and I used the same ink to write the journal. Here are some close-ups;

今回はスケッチに忠実に作りました。三角がとても可愛かったので、ペーパーから切り出して配置しました。ペーパーやダイカット、チップボードのフレームを重ね、写真を一枚ポップアップさせて立体的にしています。丸は、トワインを使いました。ウルトラマリン（ブルー）は、ダイカットとジャーナルに使ったインクの色です。

LOVE LOVE LOVE (DT Work)

 

 

Another lovely sketch challenge from Stuck?! Sketches!! There are so many fans of Laura's sketch, and I'm no exception♡ Here is the sketch:)

 

 Stuck?! Sketches からまたまた素敵なスケッチ♡ Laura のスケッチファンはたくさんいますが、私ももちろん、その一人！大好きです♡　こちらがスケッチ:)

 



 

My daughter had some pictures taken before the entrance ceremony of elementary school, and this is one of them. I love her expression and the soft atmosphere.

 

I rotated the sketch. I love blue, and I wanted to make different shades so I spread some gesso and sprayed blue mist on the background. I know it's subtle,but I love how it looks. I had this blue mesh net with dots that I wanted to use for ages...and finally! I found the perfect layout for it.

 

小学校の入学式の前に写真を撮ってもらったのですが、これはその中の一枚です。娘の表情とふんわりした雰囲気が大好きな写真です。

 

スケッチを回転させました。大好きなブルーで色んなグラデーションを作りたかったので、背景にジェッソを塗り、ブルーのミストをスプレーしました。ちょっとしたことですが、いい味がでます！ドット柄のブルーのメッシュネットもずっと使いたくて置いていたのですが、やっと出番が♪このレイアウトにピッタリ♡

 

 

I layered ribbons and paper strips for the border, and fussy cut some beautiful hearts and pieces. I put gesso on the title and covered it with pink and yellow pan pastels.

ボーダーにはリボンやペーパーを細く切って貼り付け、ハートや模様を切り出して写真の周りに飾り付けました。タイトルのチップボードは、下地にジェッソを塗り、黄色とピンクのパンパステルで着色しました。

 

 

 

I also used elegant embellishments like flowers, rhinestones, ribbon clips and pins.

 

お花やラインストーン、リボンのクリップやピンを使ってエレガントに。

totally FUN (DT work)

 

 

Today I'm revealing the second challenge from Colorful Creations! The challenges here are so awesome! I struggle but it feels like I discover a new arty side of me every time! So, here we go! Create a layout inspired by a word. Choose one of the words from LOVE, COLD, LAYERS or JOY. I chose JOY! I was quick at choosing this picture because my daughter's expression was perfect for the word.

今日は、 Colorful Creations 2作めのチャレンジです！ここのチャレンジはバラエティに富んでて面白い！毎回悩まされるのですが(笑)　毎回新たな発見があったりして本当に楽しい♪　さて、今回はワードチャレンジです。LOVE, COLD, LAYERS, JOYの中から一つ選んでレイアウトを作ります。私はJOY を選びました！JOYにピッタリのこの写真を使うことに即、決定！！

I wanted to express the JOY all over the layout. First, I cut out the middle of the paper and cut slits and bent them like it has burst.

作品すべてに喜び（ＪＯＹ）を表現したいと思ったので、まずはペーパーの真ん中をくり抜いて、スリットを入れ、はじけたように折り曲げました。

I glued fussy cut hearts and wooden heart pieces to red thread.

 

切り出したハートや木のハートを赤い糸に糊付けしました。

 

 

I decorated around the picture with transparencies, die cuts, wooden pieces, chipboard and a clip.

 

写真の周りは、トランスパレンシー、ダイカット、木のピース、チップボードとクリップで飾りました。

 



 

It was really fun making this layout! I can't wait to see how others take this challenge:)

PURE HEART (DT work)

 

Today I'm revealing my layout for the February Tic Tac Toe Stash Challenge at Scrap Our Stash:)
Gosh, I love this challenge ♡
For those who don't know how about it;
You must use all three items from any horizontal, vertical or diagonal row. I chose the middle row down, POLKA DOT PAPER, HEARTS and GLITTER.

今日は2月の Scrap Our Stash チャレンジです。今年からこのチャレンジが始まったのですが、楽しすぎるーー♪毎回どれを選ぼうかワクワクします！
まだ知らない人のために。。。
ルールは、縦・横・斜めいずれかの列にある3つのアイテムを使ってレイアウトを作ること。
私は、真ん中の列を縦に、水玉模様、ハート、グリッターを選びました。

So! February is the month of love! I thought there would be tons of Valentine layouts, and colors like pink and red, so I decided to go black and white (and grey) this time.

2月と言えばバレンタイン♡　ラブリーなレイアウトがたくさん出て来るかなーと思って、あえて今回はモノトーン+グレーにしてみました。

First, I wrote a big heart on cardstock and cut it out. Next I wrote another heart, slightly smaller this time on patterned paper and cut it out. I mixed glitter with shimmery paste and painted the ridges of the bigger heart (sorry the glitter doesn't show much) and spread gesso on the border heart to soften the color. Then I layered the 2 hearts and stuck them together. The polka dot background stood out too much, so I covered it with a sheet of gauze, put some silver sequins inside and machine stiched it around. I fussy cut out words, hearts and arrows from paper and sticked them inside the heart. For dimention, I popped some of them up. I made a ribbon with organdy too. I love how it turned out and I discovered that it doesn't have to be red or pink to create a sweet layout:) Here are some close-ups;

まず、白の台紙に大きめのハートを手書きしてカットしました。次に一回り小さいハートをパターンペーパーに書いてカット。大きいハートの淵を、グリッターとシルバーペーストを混ぜたもので着色しました（写真ではわかりにくくてごめんなさい）。ボーダーのハートは、色を和らげるためにジェッソを塗り、大きいハートに貼りつけました。台紙にした水玉が目立ちすぎるので、ガーゼを敷き、間にスパンコールを入れて周りをミシンで縫いました。英字やハート、矢印をペーパーから切り出し、一部ポップアップさせて立体的に。オーガンジーのりぼんを飾って完成。赤やピンクを使わなくても、ラブリーなレイアウトは作れるんだなーと発見♡

Today's layout is based on the February 1st Challenge for Stuck?! Sketches.

Here is the lovely sketch ♡

 

今日は、Stuck?! Sketches 2月1日のスケッチチャレンジです。こちらが素敵なスケッチ♡

 



 

I used a picture of my daughter when she made chocolate sweets for her friends. In Japan, girls give chocolate to boys on Valentine's day.(There's also White day, March 14th and that's when the boys give back cookies or marshmallows to girls). Recently, it's changing a bit and it's also popular for girls giving chocolate to girls to express their friendship:)

 

I sprayed pink mist with a stencil full of hearts on the background. I tried to make a gradation so some of the hearts look faded. I matted the pictures with paper and tissue paper, and instead of using 3 pictures I used 2. For the big star, I used a round frame sticker. I fussy cut the title, arrows, words and hearts and used them as embellies. The chipboard heart is covered with glitter. I cut the crystal circle in half and placed them.  I love the donut shaped ribbon! Wonder where I got this...Here are some details; 

 

娘がお友達にチョコレート菓子を作った時の写真を使いました。最近のバレンタインデーでは、女の子が男の子にあげるだけじゃなく、女の子同士で交換する友チョコも流行ってますよね♪　この時は、いつも仲良くしてもらっている、幼馴染の男の子数人にあげました。

 

まず、ハートいっぱいのマスクを使ってピンクのミストをスプレーしました。外に向かってグラデーションになるようにスプレーしています。写真はペーパーと薄い包装紙を重ねてマットし、3枚の代わりに2枚、貼りました。星の部分は、丸いフレームのステッカーを使っています。タイトルや矢印、英字、ハートなどを切り出し、エンベリにしました。ハートのチップボードは、わかりにくいですが、グリッターがかかっています。丸いクリスタルラインストーンは半分にカットし、上下に貼りました。特にお気に入りなのは、このリボン！どこで買ったのか覚えてないけど…丸が連なっていて可愛い♡

Today I'm so excited to reveal my very first layout for Colorful Creations!
Here is the challenge!!

今日は、Colorful Creations 初めてのＤＴワークを発表します！ドキドキ…
こちらがチャレンジです♪

 



Rule : You must use Black, White plus only one color in your layout.

ルール : 黒＋白＋あと１色だけ使ってレイアウトを作ること。

 

I used GOLD for my plus one color.

It was harder than I imagined! First I thought of using yellow. Then I changed it to red. Neither fitted so I was digging through my stash...and came up with gold. Finally!!

私はゴールドを足しました。うーーーん、いざやってみるとすごく難しかった！！最初は、黄色や赤でやってみては何か違う…としばらく悩み続け、ペーパーやエンベリを引っ張り出し、最終的にたどり着いたのがゴールド！やっと決まりました！
 

I used 2 photos printed in black and white. It's my daughter wearing a ninja costume, in a period drama theme park. Today I didn't use any ink or medium for the background as I often do, but layered different black and white patterned paper, and sticked fussy cut golden arrows. I backed my photos with chipboard frames and thin gold chain. For other embellishments, I used transparencies, washi tape and die cuts and put foam underneath some of them for dimention. I also scattered golden stars. It was really challenging because this is the first time I used this combination of color! Anyways it's always fun to challenge yourself. You might discover something new!! Here are some close-ups;

モノクロ写真を2枚使いました。太秦の映画村で忍者の格好をした娘の写真です。今回は、いつものようにインクやメディウムを使いませんでした。代わりに、白黒のパターンペーパーを数種類重ね、切り出した金の矢印を背景に貼りつけました。細いチェーンをチップボードのフレームに巻いて、写真の下に重ねました。他に、トランスパレンシー、マステ、ダイカットなどをエンベリに使い、いくつかはポップアップして立体的に見せています。最後に、星を散りばめました。こんな色の組み合わせでレイアウトを作ったことがなかったので、なかなか難しいチャレンジでしたが、新しい発見があったり楽しかったです♪
