MOMENTS

I made today's layout based on the May sketch of My Creative Sketches.

今日の作品は、My Creative Sketches　の5月のスケッチをもとにして作りました。

These are pictures of my daughter, playing the Japanese drum. She has been learning it for quite a while now, but since the lesson is just once a month...her progress was slow. She didn't seem to have confidence, so I was a bit worried. However, the day of the recital came,and she was...a different person!! Actually, she was quite good!! Better than I expected!! And what was better, she enjoyed performing:)) I wanted her to remember these moments of her life, so I used the word MOMENTS for the title. Here are some close-ups:

娘の和太鼓発表会の写真を使いました。もう結構長い期間習っていますが、月に一度の稽古なので、なかなか上達しませんでした。娘もあまり自信がなさそうだったので、私も少し心配していました。そして発表会当日…娘はまるで別人？？思ったよりはるかに上手にできました♪　そして何より楽しんでました！娘にはこういう瞬間をずっと覚えていてほしいので、ＭＯＭＥＮＴＳというタイトルにしました。

dream TODAY

I love today's layout ! Usually, I use my daughter's picture, but today I decided to make a layout with a masquline touch. The picture was taken by my friend who loves airplanes. I changed the color a bit for a nostalgic feel. I love airplanes too, and traveling...I use to spend most of the money I earned for travelling when I was in my twenties. Those memories are unforgettable and precious. This is the sketch that I followed. The sketch from Stuck?! Sketches.

今日はお気に入りのレイアウト！いつも娘の写真を使って作品を作るのですが、今回は少し男っぽく？してみました。写真は、飛行機好きの友達が撮ったものです。懐かしい雰囲気にしたかったので、少し色を変えさせてもらいました。私も飛行機大好き！そして旅行大好き！！20代の頃は、働いたお金をほとんど旅行に使っていました。その頃の思い出は、とても貴重で忘れられない宝物です♡　Stuck?! Sketches　のスケッチを元にして作りました。

I teared scraps of paper and inked the edges for an aged look. Layering is my favorite, and this is no exception. I used many metal and wooden parts and tried to limit the colors that I use. It's been a while since I used blue paper for a background and I love how it turned out! Here are some close-ups:

ペーパーの端をやぶいてインクで汚し、古びた雰囲気にしました。何枚もペーパーを重ねるのが大好きなので、今回も♪　メタルや木のパーツをたくさん使い、色の数を抑えました。ブルーのペーパーを背景に使うのは久しぶり！新鮮で気に入ってます♡

The challenge will be closed on May 29th. I'm glad I finished it on time!!

Today's challenge is the Scrap Our Stash Sketch + (3) Challenge.

I chose MyMind's Eye (paper and rub-ons), Naples Yellow and Newsprint, and Overlay.

今日は、Scrap Our Stash Sketch + (3) Challenge　です。

それぞれのリストから指定のものを一つ以上使い、スケッチを元にして作ります。

The main colors of this layout is red, yellow, gold and black. I put some metallic gold texture paste in some parts of the background. Subtle but nice:) I used a lot of chipboard and rub-ons. I love layering and dimention! I inked the title with black ink. It matches well with the other black embellies and rub-ons, and spices up the layout. Here are some close-ups:

今回は、色にこだわりました。赤、黄、金、黒です。背景にはゴールドメタリックのぺーストを少し塗りました。あまり目立ちませんが、キラキラしていい味出しています。チップボードとラブオンもたくさん使いました。重ねたり、立体感を出したりするのが大好き！タイトルは黒インクで着色して、他の黒と合わせました。黒は全体を引き締めてくれます♪

PERFECT SUMMER DAY

Today I made a layout based on the Book Inspired Challenge for Scrap Our Stash .

今日のレイアウトはScrap Our Stash　のブックカバーチャレンジです。

What jumped in my eyes first was the big heart. I wanted to make it the main embellishment in my layout. I was also inspired by the woman; it reminded me of this picture that I used in the layout. We went to Shirahama beach in Wakayama, and we saw fireworks there. We had never seen big fireworks this near! So huge and beautiful.
I misted little hearts with blue ink, and for the big heart, I put frills around it to make it stand out. I used a lot of flowers which is one of the challenges and scattered sequins in the layout. To match the atmosphere, I changed the color of the picture. I love how it turned out :) Here are some close-ups:

まず目に入ったのは大きなハートでした。このハートをメインの飾りにしようと決めました。それから女性の後ろ姿も印象的で、この写真を使おうと決めました。和歌山県の白浜で花火を見たときの写真です。大きな花火をこんなに近くで見るのは初めてでした！！大きくてキレイで、娘も私も大興奮♪
背景には、ブルーのハートをミストしました。ハートのダイカットにはフリルをつけて、存在感アップ！チャレンジの条件の一つである花をいっぱい使い、スパンコールを散りばめました。写真をセピアにして、全体の雰囲気を合わせました。お気に入り♡

BLUE SKIES AHEAD

Today's layout is based on this sketch from Stuck?! Sketches

Here is the sketch :)

今日のレイアウトは Stuck?! Sketches　からのこちらのスケッチです。

The picture is my daughter picking peaches. We love peaches, but because it was such a hot day, all the peaches were hot and soft and tasted like a compote !! Too bad...but we enjoyed the picking anyway. (and we got the nice and cool ones afterwards!!)

The paper I used was very vivid, so I used gesso to make it a little blurry. I layered some paper and popped up some of the die cuts including the title. I used some flowers and a ribbon that matches the paper, and scattered enamel dots. Here are some close-ups;

桃狩りをした時の写真を使いました。桃は家族みんな大好きなのですが、この日は真夏のとても暑い日で、桃が熱く柔らかく、コンポートのようになってしまっていました(笑)　残念すぎる！でも採るのは楽しかったです♪（後で冷えたのも食べました！！）

使ったペーパーがはっきりくっきりすぎたので、ジェッソで少しぼかしました。ペーパーを重ね、切り出したダイカットをポップアップしました。ペーパーに合うお花やリボンで飾り、エナメル・ドッツを散りばめて完成！

CHARMED

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!

I didn't know about this day (sadly, we don't have this in Japan), but I realized there are many events going on! So I got all my paper and stash and made a layout based on this challenge:)

ナショナル・スクラップブッキング・デーというものがあるのを初めて知りました。アメリカでは色んなイベントが開催されています！！オンラインで参加しようと思ったら、時差が…なので、何日か猶予のあるチャレンジに参加してみました。

The SOS Challenge:

Create a layout using one PRE-SELECTED stash item of your choice for each letter in the word STASH.

Each letter has (3) pre-selected stash items for you to choose from:
