#PURE

Today I made a layout based on this lovely Kraft+ challenge.
I do love these melon colours !!

I wanted to make a sweet layout, so here comes my model:)
I thought the atmosphere of this picture of my daughter would match perfectly with the melon colors. I gathered all the sweet colors...paper, chipboards and other kinds of embellies. I splashed some white acrylic paint on the background, and added some dots with a stamp. Here are the close-ups;

I love this challenge, and I'm sure everyone will love this too!!
Thank you for visiting:)

together

I made a colorful page based on the awesome sketch of Stuck?! Sketches. Here is the sketch!

This is a picture when my daughter's best friend came to our house for a sleepover. They were so excited, in their pajamas, chuckling and whispering until late at night...My daughter's the only child, and so am I, and I know how it feels to have a friend staying over night and sleeping next to you. So fun !! Anyways, I had to hush them several times, til they finally fell asleep. The next day, they were up so early though, already full of energy, ready to play:) I wanted to make a fun and colorful, bright and exciting layout.

I rotated the sketch, and used several colors for the background. I spread some gesso and scribbled a bit with watercolor pencils, and dabbed some water to shade off the outline. I layered chipboards frames and diecuts, scraps of paper and added more dimension by popping them up. The title and stars were thin wood with light color, so I put some gesso and colored it with brown red ink to make it match. Here are some close ups:

I had so much fun making this layout!
The challenge is open until September 29th.
Grab your picture and papers and begin scrappin' !!

a fresh start (DT work)

  September's Scrap Our Stash Book Inspired Stash Challenge is based on this book cover:)

This challenge reminds me of the time when my daughter was getting ready for school. She was anxious but really excited, wondering what school was going to be like. This is a picture of her, writing Japanese Hiragana. In Japan, children are required to read and write as soon as they enter elementary school. I remember her practicing over and over again. Now she's in 5th grade, and enjoying her school life:)

The paper I chose for the background was already colorful, so I used some black in the center and book paper, which is part of the challenge. For dimention, I popped up the photos and layered some chipboard frames. I used die cut houses and flowers, a border punched fence, a wooden clip and little bits and pieces. Here are some details:)

The challenge is open until September 29th.
You can see all the marvelous layouts of the design team one by one everyday !!

friends

Today I will post a layout based on the August Challenge of Kraft+plus.
The criteria is KRAFT + TASSELS. This is so fun !!

This is my first time to join this challenge, and I loved it !!
First of all, I spread some Heidi Swapp gold metallic texture paste, smudged some Dazzlerz pink, sprayed some green mist and stencilled the hearts with modelling paste. I love how the background shines when it dries. I layered some scrap papers to mat the picture, and decorated around the picture with diecuts and chipboard. The tassel chipboards are so sweet ♡ The venner title and hearts and the arrow matched so well with the kraft paper:) Here are some details;

The challenge is open till the end of August. There are tons of amazing inspiration here, so you must take a look!! Thank you for visiting:)

SUCH GREAT TIMES

Today I made a layout based on the challenge of Stuck?! Sketches.
This is the Sketch:)

I used a picture of my daughter, playing with her friends in a park. It's always diffcult to capture them in a picture, they are all so playful and rarely stay still.
I spread some gesso first and used several kinds of paint for the background. Turquoize paint from Ranger, yellow paint from SHIMMERZ, and black acrylic paint. Bubble wraps are perfect for stamps! I layered several bits of paper and made a mat for the photo. Popped up diecuts and thread added dimention to the layout, and I'm happy how it turned out. Here are some close-ups;

The challenge is open until August 29th. There are lots of inspiring layouts so why not join!!

CAPTURE the moment (DT work)

 This month's Scrap Our Stash lovely Sketch + (3) Challenge is this ;

I chose List1-Various Mfgs (Webster's Pages, Echo Park, Pink Fresh Studio, Heidi Swapp, Simple Stories), List2-Washi Tape, List3-Letter X
Instead of using 3 pictures, I used a die-cut (for a journal) and a frame on both sides of one picture. I wanted to make a summer layout, bright and fun. I love this expression of my daughter, she's always happy and active, having fun. I'm so happy when I'm able to capture these kinds of moments. It will always remain my treasure :) Here are some close-ups;

I wrote a journal inside the card:)

The challenge is open until August 29th. Let's get inspired !! Thank you for visiting!!

LIFE (DT work)

 The August Book Inspired Challenge of Scrap Our Stash is based on this book cover.

When I see a map, I imagine the places I want to go. Traveling is one of the things that I love, and I want my daughter to visit many places too. I think traveling is like life, the paths that you choose are similar to the decisions you make in life.

I changed the color of the photo to match the atmosphere of the paper. For the background, I put some resin sand paste with a template. After it has dried, I dabbed some beige acrylic paint. I distressed the edges of the papers and inked them for an aged look. The rhinestones, chipboard, flowers, metal gate and the decorative clip (which is part of the challenge) all made unity and I'm happy how it turned out:) I splattered some acrylic paint and finished my layout. Here are some details;

The challenge is open until August 29th. Please visit the challenge site and you will find tons of inspiration!! Thank you for visiting:)
