 The August Book Inspired Challenge of Scrap Our Stash is based on this book cover.

 

 

When I see a map, I imagine the places I want to go. Traveling is one of the things that I love, and I want my daughter to visit many places too. I think traveling is like life, the paths that you choose are similar to the decisions you make in life.

 

I changed the color of the photo to match the atmosphere of the paper. For the background, I put some resin sand paste with a template. After it has dried, I dabbed some beige acrylic paint. I distressed the edges of the papers and inked them for an aged look. The rhinestones, chipboard, flowers, metal gate and the decorative clip (which is part of the challenge) all made unity and I'm happy how it turned out:) I splattered some acrylic paint and finished my layout. Today I made a layout based on the challenge of ARTastic.
This is a delightful painting by Elioth Gruner called  Spring Frost Study.
The CRITERIA is a COUNTRY / RURAL theme.

My inlaws live in the countryside and we visit them every year. This picture was taken there; I love my daughter's expression:) The road is so long and wide and very few traffic, so she can run around as much as she wants to, which is rare at home.
I printed the photo large, and scattered many flowers around it. I also put leaves, diecuts, twine, buttons and a ribbon for a colorful look. I used several mists for the background, and popped up the title. Here are some details;

July's second DT work for Scrap Our Stash !!

This is the awesome Sketch + (3) Challenge;

 

 Scrap Our Stash　7月2つ目のＤＴワークです。

今回はこちらの素敵なスケッチ＋３チャレンジ；

 



 

I chose Simple Stories (brown paper) from LIST1,  Twine from LIST2, and Ultramarine from LIST3.

Lovely sketch ! Using ultramarine was a new challenge for me, but I love blue based colors.  I had a picture of my daughter wearing a shirt that matches perfectly !! I love the smile, so I printed it larger than usual, and used only one picture instead of two. I wanted to keep it simple and clean, so I used chipboards, transparencies, die cuts、twine and a ribbon clip that all matches the color of the paper. The wooden title stood out too much, so I colored it with a green watercolor pencil. Here are the close-ups;

 

スケッチと、リストの中から最低一つずつ選んで、作成します。私はSimple Stories、トワイン、ウルトラマリンを選びました。ウルトラマリンはあまり使ったことないので、難しかったのですが、ブルー系の色は大好き！ちょうど合う色のシャツを着た娘の写真があったので、それを使うことに(^○^)　この笑顔が大好きなので、大きめにプリントし、2枚じゃなく1枚だけ使うことにしました。シンプルなレイアウトにしたかったので、チップボード、トランスパレンシー、ダイカット、トワイン、リボンクリップなど飾りはすべてペーパーと同じトーンのものを使っています。木のタイトルは目立ちすぎたので、グリーンの水彩色鉛筆で着色しました。

Today, I'm proudly introducing my very first DT work for Scrap Our Stash !!

This is the great challenge;

 

今日は、 Scrap Our Stash　デザインチームとしての初めてのレイアウトです。

こちらがチャレンジです。

 



 

When I first saw this book cover, I was inspired by the colorful circles, and the title. I decided to use a picture of my daughter napping. The photo makes me wonder what kind of dream she's having, and that thought made me excited ! I combined the inspirations and made it a colorful, fun page full of hope, dreams and ambition.

 

I cut out several circles in different sizes and put them together randomly. I matted the picture　with layers of paper and placed it in the middle. Adding embellies around the picture were fun, popping some up or putting it together with transparencies. I especially love the little airplane ♡ I finished it by scattering sequins here and there, and I really love how it turned out. Here are some details;

 

最初に目についたのは、カラフルな円とタイトルです。お昼寝をしている娘の写真を使うことにしました。この写真を見るといつも、どんな夢をみてるんだろう、とワクワクします。夢と希望と野望に満ちた？雰囲気を出そうと、カラフルで楽しいレイアウトを作ってみました。

 

まず、数種類のペーパーで様々な大きさの円を切り、バラバラに配置しました。写真もペーパーを数枚重ねてマットし、真ん中あたりに配置。その周りを、色んなエンベリで飾っていくのですが、ポップアップしたり、トランスパレンシーと組み合わせるのは楽しかったです♪　小さな飛行機がお気に入り♡　最後にスパンコールを散りばめて、楽しい雰囲気に！

  This month's Scrap Our Stash Sketch (3+) Sketch Challenge is this;

 

I used List 1-Polka Dots, List 2-Quote and List 3-Rub on.

This sketch was a challenge !! I was totally lost at first, and it took me some time to decide what kind of  layout I wanted to make, but finally! I rotated the sketch and placed everything and it seemed good !! Now it is the rainy season in Japan, and most of the days are humid and uncomfortable, and the sky is dark... but I wanted to brighten up !! So, I used colorful paper and pictures of my daughter with a new umbrella! In the picture, it's not raining at all, but she was happy with her new umbrella, even looking forward to the rain. I used a lot of rub ons for embellishments, and nothing much more because the paper is already so colorful. Here are some details;

daddy's girl

 

 

 This month's Scrap Our Stash Book Inspired Challenge is this;

 

Ｉ made a layout with my daughter and my husbands picture.When she was little, she would run far away, and then run back towards her dad, jumping into his arms. Now that she's already ten years old, she's grown out of that, but she smiles the same way whenever she goes to her dad. I think every moment is a surprise for him, and he seems to embrace every single moment with her.
I wanted to make this simple but loving, so I just used flowers and a ribbon and some chipboard that matches the atmosphere. I dabbed some yellow paint on the background to complete the challenge. Here are some close ups;
