joyful heart (CSI CASE FILE #289 DT Work)

Hi friends! This is my layout made with the CSI COLD CASE FILE. This is a bonus challenge for those who want to resurrect some of their old stash. I was inspired by the colors, animals, flowers and the sea.

こんにちは！今日のレイアウトは、 CSI のボーナスチャレンジです。このチャレンジは、眠っている材料や道具を再びよみがえらせるためのものです♪　私は、絵の色と動物、お花、海からインスピレーションをもらいました。

I used some paper from a couple of years ago. First I spread clear gesso on the background, painted it with some old ink and as it was too bold, I added white acrylic paint over it. Next I pulled out some of my old border punches that I hadn't used for ages, and punched a lot of borders from scraps of old paper. I layered them on the bottom of the layout, and lifted up the edges to create dimention. I fussy cut animals, flowers and leaves from another paper, and lined some of the animals on the borders and created a wreath with the rest. I popped up some of the cut-out pieces. I added some stickers and that's about it! Here are the close-ups;

数年前のペーパーを使うことに。まず背景は、クリアジェッソを塗ってから古いインクで着色しましたが、色が濃すぎたので上から白のアクリル絵の具をのせて少し和らげました。次に長い間使っていなかったボーダーパンチを引っ張り出して、あまりペーパーをパンチ。レイアウトの下の部分に重ねて貼り、橋を少し折り曲げて立体感を出しています。違うペーパーから動物、お花、葉っぱをカットアウトし、いくつかはボーダーに並べ、残りで円を作ってリース風に。ところどころはポップアップしています。最後にステッカーを足して出来上がり！クローズアップです♪

What I like about this challenge is that it makes you dig in your stash and tools that you haven't touched for so long, and it feels good to make use of them again:)

NOTED (CSI CASE FILE #289 DT Work)

Hi Scrappy friends! It's been a while since my last blog. Usually, I make several layouts and share them on the first day of the month, but recently I have been really busy and couldn't catch up. Therefore I stepped down from 2 design teams, but that doesn't mean I love the challenges and I would love to make layouts with them as soon as I have time. For the meantime, I will carry on with CSI and White...with 1. Today's layout is made with the second CASEFILE from CSI.

こんにちは！最後の投稿から少し日が経ってしまいました。いつもは毎月レイアウトを何枚か、1日に載せるのですが、このところバタバタで全然追いつかない！そういうわけで、デザインチームも２つ減らしました。でもどのチャレンジも大好きなので、また時間ができたらどんどん参加しようと思っています！しばらくの間はCSI とWhite...with 1 の2か所で続けたいと思います。今日のレイアウトは、CSIの今月2つ目のチャレンジで作りました。

I used all the colors and chose the following for Evidence; Paper with a watercolor look, Banners and Wet medium. I used a patterned paper with light watercolors and added some more colors. After it had dried, I pulled out some gel medium and stencils to create a subtle pattern on the background. It's hard to see in the pictures, but it has a glossy shiny look. I decided to make a banner with the pictures and diecuts and cut out some paper too. I also added puffy stickers and used an acetate word for the title. To add some more interest, I ripped the upper left part of the layout, backed it with heart patterned paper and decorated it with a zipper-head. Here are the close-ups;

チャレンジの色すべてと、水彩模様のペーパー、バナー、メディウムを選びました。薄い水彩カラーのペーパーに、さらに色を加えて着色しました。乾いてからジェル・メディウムとステンシルで背景に模様付け。写真ではわかりにくいですが、濡れたような、テカリのある仕上がりです。写真とダイカット、ペーパーをカットしてバナーを作り、ステッカーで飾ってアセテートの英字をタイトルにしました。さらに、左上を少し破って後ろに♡のパターンペーパーを貼り付けて見せ、ジッパーヘッドをアクセントに。クローズアップです♪

I love how this turned out, and I'm happy I was able to use recent photos of my daughter. She's a teenager now, so she wouldn't let me take a lot of pictures...lol. Thank you so much for stopping by, and I hope you will join us!

Nostalgia (White...with 1 DT Work)

Hi friends! It's July! Wow, time seems to pass faster and faster every year!

Now, it's time for the new Challenge from White...with 1. This month's color is MARINE GREEN. Plus, there is a moodboard to go with it.

皆さんこんにちは！もう7月！年々、時間が経つのが早くなっているような気がします。さて、今月の　White...with 1　のカラーは「マリン・グリーン」。ムードボードも合わせてどうぞ♪

I'm sorry that the color of my layout seems more like blue than green, but the actual layout is green. I was inspired by the pattern of the moodboard and used a cutfile. Instead of using the outline, I used the inside pieces. I colored them with different shades of green, and curled them up a bit to create dimention. I layered a cloth under the photo, added a journal, feathers and a flower, popped up the title and added some black splatters. Here are the close-ups; 

レイアウトの色がグリーンよりブルー寄りに見えますが、実際はグリーンです、ごめんなさい！ムードボードの模様にインスピレーションをもらって、カットファイルを使うことにしました。今回はカットファイルの内側をグリーンのグレデーションになるように着色し、立体感を出すために丸めてから貼り付けました。写真の下に薄い布を重ね、ジャーナル、羽とお花を加え、タイトルをポップアップ。最後に黒のアクリル絵の具を飛ばして完成！クローズアップです♪
