BE YOURSELF (Scrap Our Stash DT Work)

 
 

Hello! I'm happy to share my new layout for the Scrap Our Stash Pick Your Side Sketch Challenge. The Rule is to create a layout based on either side of the sketch and you must use STRIPED PATTERNED PAPER and MIXED ALPHAS. I chose the left side of the sketch.

こんにちは！今日は、Scrap Our Stash　の新しいチャレンジで作ったレイアウトを紹介します。ルール：左右どちらかのスケッチを選んでレイアウトを作ること。また、ストライプのペーパーと、色んな種類のアルファベットを使うことです。私は、左のスケッチを選びました。

 

I started with painting the background. I spread gesso first, and colored it with several colors of paint. I cut out striped patterned paper and layered them. Instead of using 3 photos, I used 2 photos and a journal. For embellishments, I punched out circles and rings, scattered dew drops,and rhinestones. I chose a big ampersand and mini alpha stickers for the mixed alphas. To add a little more interest, I cut the upper left and bottom right of the cardstock and adhered yellow paper underneath. まず、背景の着色から始めました。ジェッソを塗ってから数種類の絵の具で着色しました。ストライプのパターンペーパーをカットし、重ね合わせました。写真を３枚使う代わりに、２枚とジャーナルにしました。エンベリにはリングや丸をパンチしたもの、デュードロップ、ラインストーンを散りばめ、アルファベットは、大きな＆と、ミニアルファステッカーを組み合わせています。少し変化をつけるために、左上と右下のカードストックを少しカットし、下に黄色のペーパーを重ねて見せています。クローズアップです。

grateful (CSI CASE FILE #273 DT Work)

 
 

Hello! Today's layout is  based on the Case File of CSI. I was inspired by the wreath, flowers and colors. Love the soft colors!

 

こんにちは！今日のレイアウトは、CSI　のＤＴワークです。写真のリースやお花、色からインスピレーションをもらいました。柔らかい色合いが素敵！

 

 

I found two perfect flower patterned paper for this Challenge. I fussy cut all the flowers and leaves from them and decided to create a wreath with it. Before I adhered anything, I did some mixed media on the background. I pulled out my silver texture paste and a stencil, created patterns in the middle of the layout and colored inside them with watercolors after it had dried. I placed all the cut out pieces and added some fabric flowers, ribbons, diecuts, butterflies, wooden hearts and a pin. I matted my photo with a large project card and placed it inside the wreath. I love how this turned out and here are some close-ups;

このチャレンジにピッタリのお花のパターンペーパーを見つけました。そのペーパーからお花と葉っぱをカットアウトして、リースを作ることにしました。貼りつける前に、背景にステンシルとシルバーのテクスチャペーストを出して背景に模様づけ。乾いてから水彩絵の具で着色。カットアウトしたお花と葉っぱを配置し、さらにお花やリボン、ダイカット、蝶、木のハート、ピンなどで飾りつけました。写真を大きめのプロジェクトカードと重ね、リースの中に配置。なかなかいい感じの仕上がりになりました。クローズアップです♪

cute (Scrap Or Stash DT Work)

 

 

Hi! Today's layout is based on the Scrap Our Stash Saturday Morning Cartoon Inspired Stash Challenge. Create a layout inspired by the Cartoon and you must use HEART patterned paper AND/OR (3) or more HEARTS.

 

こんにちは！今日のレイアウトはScrap Our Stash　のチャレンジで作りました。ルールは、カートゥーンとスケッチからのインスピレーション、そしてハートのパターンペーパーか３つ（またはそれ以上の数の）ハートを使うこと。

 

These are pictures of my daughter and her childhood friend. They have been friends since they were babies, and they were often mistaken as twins:)

 

娘と幼馴染の写真を使いました。二人は赤ちゃんの頃から大の仲良し♡よく双子に間違えられました(笑)

 

 

Since I wanted to use horizontal pictures, I rotated the sketch. I cut out a big piece of woodgrain paper and adhered it. On the right side, I layered a decorative ribbon. Then I drew a big heart and adhered a pearl string. To add some texture, I layered a thin cloth underneath the photos and popped them up with foam. I cut out some flowers, butterflies a bird , pearls and golden heart-shaped stickers for embellishments. Here are the close-ups;

横写真を使いたかったので、スケッチを９０度回しました。木目ペーパーを大きめにカットして貼り、右側にレースのリボンをつけました。大きなハートを描き、その上をパールストリングをのせました。立体感を出すため、写真に薄い布を重ね、ポップアップ。カットアウトしたお花、蝶、鳥と、パールやハートのゴールドステッカーをエンベリとして使いました。クローズアップです♪

hope (CSI CASE FILE #272 DT Work)

 
 

Hello again!! I'm so excited to share my second layout today. I made this one with the new CSI  Case File. I had so much fun making this one. I was inspired by the tree, leaves, birds and snow.

 

またまたこんにちは！今日二つ目のレイアウトはCSI　の新しいチャレンジで作ったものです。とても楽しく作れました！絵の木、葉っぱ、鳥、雪からインスピレーションをもらいました。

 

 

First of all, I draw a big tree and cut it out. After I adhered it to white cardstock. I covered the branches with snow tex. Then I die-cutted a lot of leaves in several colors and sizes, and punched out birds in several colors too. I layered vellum under the picture, adhered it on the left side of the tree and added the leaves and birds. On the bottom of the layout, I added some more snow tex and leaves. I didn't have the right color so I colored white alphas and used them for the title. I also added sequins, pearl stickers and rhinestones. Here are the details;

 

まず、大きな木を描いてカットし、白いカードストックに貼りつけ、木の枝をスノーテックスで覆いました。次に、色んな色や大きさの葉っぱをダイカットし、鳥をパンチ。写真にヴェラムを重ねて木の左側に配置し、葉っぱと鳥を貼りつけました。レイアウトの下部分にもスノーテックスと葉っぱを追加。合う色のアルファベットがなかったので、白いものを塗ってタイトルに。さらにスパンコール、パール、ラインストーンを加えて完成！

happy ADVENTURE (Let's Get Sketchy DT Work)

 

 Hi! Today's layout is based on the new sketch from Let's Get Sketchy. Here is the sketch;)

 

こんにちは！今日のレイアウトは、 Let's Get Sketchy　の新しいスケッチで作ったものです。こちらがスケッチ♪



I used a cream color cardstock for the background. I created chevron patterns with a stencil and modeling paste and let it dry. It doesn't show much but I like the texture. I cut out words of cities from paper and lined them up, some crookedly to add a fun atmosphere. Under and over the words, I layered several die-cutted stars and an arrow. I matted the picture with a thin cloth and popped it up with foam. Under the chevron, I adhered a ribbon and a strip of striped paper. For the title, I used chipboard alphas, but I didn't have some of the letters so I cut and pasted from different letters. I finished the layout by adding sequins, rhinestones and a journal. Here are the close-ups;

背景にはクリーム色のペーパーを使いました。ステンシルとモデぺでシェブロン（山型）模様をつけ、乾かしました。目立ちませんが、立体感がいい感じです。ぺーパーから都市の名前をカットアウトし、並べました。楽しい雰囲気にしたかったので、上の方はわざと歪ませています。名前の下や上に星と矢印を重ねました。写真には薄いガーゼを重ね、ポップアップ。シェブロンの下にリボンと細いストライプのボーダーを貼りつけました。タイトルは、チップボードのアルファベットを使ったのですが、足りない字があったので他の字をカットし、組み合わせて代用。スパンコール、ラインストーン、ジャーナルをつけて完成。クローズアップです。

love you (White...with 1 DT Work)

 

Happy February!! Can't believe a month has passed already...so fast! Well, a new month means a new Challenge so are you ready? This month's color from the Challenge of White...with 1 is VIVID RED. Also, there is a lovely sketch to go with the challenge:)

こんにちは！もう２月なんて信じられません！時間が経つのが早すぎる…でも、新しい月というとことは、新しいチャレンジなので、準備はいいですか？(笑)　White...with 1　今月の色は、「ビビッド・レッド」。真っ赤ですね！スケッチもあるので合わせてチャレンジしてみてね♪

 

I started with the background by using a heart stencil and modeling paste. I love the texture it creates although it blends in with the white background. It looks like it was embossed. I cut out a lot of frames from patterned paper and kind of layered them. Under some of the frames, I adhered some strips of ribbon. I made a shaker heart box with a heart frame and added sequins inside. For embellishments, I used buttons and foam stickers. Here are the close-ups;

まず、ハートのステンシルとモデぺで背景を作りました。白バックに白ハートなので目立ちませんが、エンボスしたような立体感がお気に入りです。パターンペーパーからたくさん、フレームをカットアウトして重ね、下に数種のリボンを並べました。ハートのフレームでシェーカーボックスを作り、中にスパンコールを投入。エンベリにはボタンやフォームステッカーを使って完成！クローズアップ写真です♪

 

I hadn't used red as a main color for a long time, but I love the combination with white. I wanted to keep it neat, so I didn't use any ink or sprays. Hope you will play along and have fun!!

長らく赤をメインカラーとして使っていませんでしたが、白との組み合わせはやっぱり可愛い！すっきりをキープしたかったので、インクはスプレーは使いませんでした。皆さんも是非参加して下さいね。
